Brazilian composer and musician Gérson Werlang is a progressive/crossover prog artist already known for being a member of Poços & Nuvens. But besides his tenure in this outfit Werlang is also a guitarist, poet and composer in his own right.

2008 saw him start a solo career, when he issued his first solo album, Memórias do Tempo (Memories Of Time), jointly released by Rock Symphony in Brazil and Musea Records in France. Now he is back with his second solo album, Sistema Solar (Solar System).
The album was released in CD first in 2015 and 2017 sees the album getting released in LP and digital formats. Gérson plays electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and melodica and is the composer of all themes, where the planets serve as motives to different matters, as ecology [Netuno], cosmic love [Os Anéis de Saturno], prejudice [Você Ainda Vai Precisar de Urano], and other matters.

The revived Big Big Train shows that you can't keep a good band down for long with a fairly easy listening, non confrontational selection of songs both traditionally long and catchingly short. if at times the acoustic guitars and sharp keyboard breaks are reminiscent of early Genesis then this is fully intended and respectful to the likes of Messrs Rutherford, Banks and Phillips. Vocal harmonies are, as expected, a delight to the ear and the whole is a big step forward from Welcome To The Planet graeme wright
